What to Pack?

If you are going to Xcaret, Xel-Ha, or any kind of park like this, please remember that you will not be able to use the regular sunblock or tanning lotions that you find in any place, protecting the nature they only permit to use bio-degradable sun block or tanning lotion.

Why Chichen Itza is considered one of the new world wonders?

Chichen Itza, is now considered as a new world wonder, by it's impressive architecture and ancient design, Have you ever asked yourself, why and how the Mayan build such precise pyramid, thousand years ago, when nobody knows about this kind of architecture?

The Chichen Itza principal Pyramid named El Castillo or Kukulcan Pyramid, is an amazing place full of history and traditions, each side of the pyramid have 91 steps in their stairs and if you multiply that for 4 sides, the result is 364 nad the final step is 365, it means each day of the year.

Chichen Itza, was one of the most important ceremonial centres of the Mayan culture, there, the great astrologysts and scientists have the principal schools and convivence places.

Xel-Ha is totally different, it is a great natural place, considered as a Natural wonder of Mexico, there you will take a relaxing day and go into the jungle, going through the inlet, or exploring the mystical submarine caves that it have, also you will find an incredible diversity of marine species, swim with dolphins, eat in all the international restaurants that it have.

Chichen Itza:

One of the largest and best preserved of the Mayan archaeological sites, The name Chichen Itza is derived from the Mayan language: "Chi" - mouth, "Chen" - well and "Itza" - the tribe that inhabited the area, the mathematical precision used in aligning its tall stone temples with the planets still amazes scientists today. Chichen Itza is the most visited archaeological site in the peninsula of Yucatan, due to its extraordinary architecture beauty and its geographical location. It was founded in the year 514 of our era by the priest LAKIN CHAN who was also called Itzamna. This is why their people were called since the foundation, chanes or itzaes, each spring and fall equinox, the great temple of Kukulcan casts a pattern of alternating triangles of light and shadow that seem to form a snake descending its steps, a phenomenon that attracts tens of thousands of tourists each year. Some of its most famous structures include the Ball Court, the Temple of a Thousand Warriors, and the Observatory.

Tulum:

Tulum is the site of a pre-Columbian walled city serving as a major port for Cobá. The ruins are situated on 12-meter (39 ft) tall cliffs, along the east coast of the Yucatán Peninsula on the Caribbean Sea in the state of Quintana Roo Mexico, Tulum was one of the last cities inhabited and built by the Mayans, it was at its height between the 13th and 15th centuries and managed to survive about 70 years after the Spanish began occupying Mexico. One of the best-preserved coastal Maya sites, Tulum is today a popular site for visitors. Curled up between the white sand that draws the crystalline beaches of the Caribbean Sea and the exuberant tropical forest lie the enigmatic Mayan site of Tulum, It is located 160 Km from Cancun Quintana Roo Mexico, in the North border of the reserve of the Biosphere of Sian ka'an. Tulum is divided in three different areas, the Hotel Zone, the Town and the Archaeological Zone. Tulum have some of most spectacular beaches of the Caribbean coast; many even consider Virgins and it is distinguished by its simple architecture that demonstrates a deep respect by environment; their rustic cabins and small hotels were altogether constructed harmonies with the natural beauty of the area.

Xcaret:

Will take you to the "little inlet" (Xcaret) in the Mayan language, for over a thousand years was one of the most important ports on the extensive Mayan trade routes. Today, Xcaret is an amazing eco-archaeological park facility where you'll spend a wonderful day enjoying its underground rivers, the inlet, the aquarium which includes the turtle farm, a Mayan museum, botanical gardens, archaeological site, and the recently inaugurated "Paradise River" and "Paradise Bridge" (a unique exhibit of a Mexican Cemetery.) As well enjoy the show at night, with more than 300 actors on stage, with a musical journey through the history of Mexico since pre-Hispanic times to the present folkloric days, with all the colorful costumes, and dancing.

Xel-Ha:

We are ready to travel with you an explore a nature's wonders, snorkel in beautiful natural aquarium and the clear blue water of Xel- Ha a natural inlet filled with multicolored tropical fish and rock formations. Ride a giant inner tube downriver on the gentle current as you float through the green mangroves towards the inlet and the sea. Xel - Ha has all the services and facilities for your comfort besides other optional activities, such as swimming with the dolphins or Snuba and the Sea trek, adventure or simply enjoying a relaxing time on a hammack.

Snorkeling:

Mexico, at the Caribbean Sea has particular appeal to those interested in exploring underwater. Snorkeling in Mexico can occur in any one of a number of places. All of the major tourist destinations along either coast will offer up some type of Mexico snorkeling experience. Those looking to find the best in Mexico snorkeling will inevitably are drawn to the Mayan Coral Reef off the Caribbean Sea coast. Scuba Dive:

Scuba in Cancun offers one tank and two tank dive trips. We choose from 22 different reefs that range from 40-60 ft. deep, and dive in small groups. "6 people maximum per Dive master." The boats may carry more people.

Dive Caverns or Jungle Snorkeling:

Dive in the crystal clear freshwater of the CENOTES located in the jungle of the Yucatan Peninsula, just north of the Mayan ruins of Tulum, that have been featured in National Geographic. While shopping in Cancun’s malls, you found everything from a new coveted Louis Vuitton purse to a handmade intricate Mayan basket. Most Cancun shopping malls include ATMS and are handicapped accessible.

Shopping hours:

Shopping hours in Cancun vary by the type of store. Generally speaking, Mexican shopper’s stores offer extended opening hours and many stores are open on Sundays, too. Shopping Malls: Cancun's shopping malls open from 11:00 a.m. and stay open until 8pm or 9pm. With Cinema complexes shopping centers stay open later to cinema-goes let out after the late shows, but the stores close down after 8 or 9pm. Pharmacies: Most pharmacies are open extended hours in Mexico: early morning to around 10pm at night. You will always Be Able to find a pharmacy open 24/7.
